We’re looking for an experienced Security Manager to manage all security components of Everty’s property portfolio in Nigeria. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team focused on the physical security of our buildings, assets, and personnel.

The Security Manager will strive to continuously improve the safety and well-being of our employees. They will develop, implement, and manage all security plans and procedures as well as implement and coordinate security-related support. Moreover, the role will have oversight over security service providers and be responsible for providing risk mitigation and crisis management strategies.

Responsibilities

Protect staff, company property, and assets by organizing effective and efficient physical security.
Lead the security team and nurture their growth.
Work closely with security service providers to deliver effective and cost-efficient services.
Develop an effective working relationship with external organizations such as Intelligence Agencies, Law Enforcement Departments, and the Police.
Be responsible for conducting risk analysis for sites, particularly with respect to crime level, terrorism, workplace violence, and threats from natural and manmade disasters by writing review reports, reviewing findings, and making cost-effective recommendations to the management.
Maintain knowledge of current security issues and security technology and update management on risks and threats that could impact company business.
Respond to security-related problems, including making independent judgments and decisions on matters ranging from violations of security procedures to serious emergencies involving law enforcement agencies, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Revamp major areas of the security function in collaboration with the Country Manager.
Lead or support investigations.
Manage intelligence process activities and ensure periodic security reporting.
Provide regular security and safety briefs/tips/alerts to management and staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in security management or other related subjects. Certification and advanced training in security management.
Relevant professional qualifications such as NEBOSH International Diploma, Security and Protective Services.
5+ years of experience working in security management or supervisory role, including experience in managing teams.
Strong verbal, written, and communication skills, including effective training and facilitation skills.
Approachable, diplomatic, and able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment.
Computer literacy including all Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Highly organized, rigorous, and self-motivated individual with a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and report large amounts of information. 
Strong networks within security bodies in Nigeria.
Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken
