How will you make an impact in this role?

Responsible for providing the physical protection and security of the Company's senior leaders by monitoring their business agendas, travel itineraries and event attendance. Although the Executive Protection Manager (EPM) will perform some executive protection duties, this role is primarily administrative with some domestic travel. The EPM also manages oversight of corporate events, security staffing, event staffing liaison and connectivity with all Global Security regions.Provide executive protection and other security-related functions for American Express senior leaders during domestic and/or international assignments.
Perform Armed Security Officer (ASO) functions during travel to/from Washington National Airport, Washington, DC.
Conduct and oversee protective advance planning with security teams globally.
Transport senior leaders to events and appointments.
Respond to emergencies and perform appropriate medical aid as required.
Manage Global Security operations of colleague global events.
Act as an intermediary manager between events staff and Global Security personnel to effect corporate event coverage in all regions.
Manage global security regions related to EP and event assignments, to include managing EP event costs.
Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner and provide effective resolutions
Complete incident reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirements.
Assist with data entries associated with executive protection.
Operate and maintain protective operations and communications equipment.
Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures.
Clearly communicate highest priority operational and administrative items to office leadership and facilitate timely resolutions.
Other duties, as assigned.
On-call 24/7/365.

Minimum Qualifications
This role is primarily administrative, so extensive knowledge of administrative and operational computer and devices applications is a must.
Must obtain a New York State armed license and an HR218.
Must be qualified for a TSA/ASO certification.
Preferred experience in Corporate Executive Protection, and former law enforcement experience.
Executive office experience, the ability to handle competing priorities and strong people leadership skills.
Possess valid US driver's license.
Possess knowledge of IT systems and common computer applications.
Required to maintain a high level of confidentiality and loyalty to the corporate brand.
Proven self-starter with excellent time management, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with all levels of management and business partners.
Effective written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and effectively communicate requirements to AmEx executives and Global Security leadership.
Demonstrated people leadership.
Ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Independent project management experience.
Manage diverse tasks and prioritize administrative workload with minimal direction.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
A high degree of energy and flexibility; proactive, self-motivated assertive and creative drive.

Preferred Qualifications
A College/University degree is preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
