Role Requirements
Only candidates that meet and are able to demonstrate the below hiring criteria’s will be considered:Must be citizen of EU member state.
Graduated from a military or police academy, and served a minimum of 3 years full time service;
Security experience: a minimum of 3 years in the security sector, and preferably with diplomatic missions or embassies;
English according to, at least, level A2 as defined in the standards available at http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/en/resources/european-language-levels-cefr;
Trained and competent in the use of the guard force weapons, as attested by his/her training record and test results;
Knowledge of radio procedure;
Knowledge in basic first aid and fire-fighting;
Basic skills in unarmed control and restraint techniques an advantage.
Services
Services provided by the contractor shall include, but not be limited to the provision of armed static guarding services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of EUDEL Kabul. Services the contractor can expect to carry out, but are not limited to are as follows: Ensuring the security of the EU Delegation compound, buildings and staff by deterring, detecting, and preventing any attempts of intrusion or attack, as laid down in SOPs and Contingency Plans. If necessary, intrusions and attacks are to be prevented by an appropriate and proportionate use of force in accordance with the provisions of the contract and local legal requirements;
Providing immediate intervention in the event of an incident, in accordance with SOPs and Contingency Plans;
Providing access control (staff/visitors/contractors their vehicles, equipment and utensils),logging and identification badge management(including issuance of visitor passes);
Undertaking reception and registration procedures of all persons entering the premises;
Inspecting, monitoring and controlling CCTV/Video Surveillance systems of the Delegation:
Ensuring the operation, monitoring and basic maintenance of walkthrough metal detector, the x- ray machine and the hand held metal detector;
Manning of static posts, and conduct of internal patrols (to check the security of the compound and its buildings) in accordance with guard procedures, and as laid down in SOPs;
Immediately reporting any incidents and any unusual activity inside or in the immediate vicinity of the EU Delegation compound to the Security Operations Room, who will there after inform the relevant actors and initiate a response in accordance with SOPs;
Following orders and instructions as laid down in standard operating procedures;
Responding to specific instructions from HoD, and the chain of command of the Contracting Authority's designated security staff.
Any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
