Job Overview / Purpose /Scope
The Guard Force (GF) Supervisor will be managed on a day-to-day basis by the Guard Force Manager to provide a range of armed response and supervisory duties including but not limited to armed patrol, escorts, and manning static positions to maintain security within Sallyport controlled locations at Martyr Brigadier General Ali Flaih Air Base (AFAB). The GF Supervisor will lead and respond to emergencies. The GF Supervisor will comply with the intent of the Performance of Work Statement (PWS).
Roles And Responsibilities
The GF Supervisor will lead and supervise a multinational team to control the entry and exit points (ECP), Observation Points (OPs) and Roving Guards at designated Sallyport controlled areas on AFAB. The goal is to mitigate potential risks and defeat adversarial threats within the Sallyport controlled area. They may engage in a primary and/or supportive role to emergency situations as directed by the Guard Force Manager or a designee.
Supervise all daily security operations.
Supervise and conduct Guard Mount briefings prior to every shift change so that all members understand their delegated roles and responsibilities.
Supervise and conduct administrative duties to include handover logs, time keeping, training tracking and sign in sheets, equipment logs and other duties as directed.
Supervise and deliver armed response to immediate threats and emergency situations that may include but are limited to insider threats, IDF or a perimeter breach within Sallyport controlled areas.
Supervise and support quick response security in support of undesirable events within Sallyport controlled areas.
Supervise and provide armed patrols as directed by the Guard Force Manager within Sallyport controlled areas .
Supervise and provide armed escort as directed by the Guard Force Manager within Sallyport controlled areas.
Supervise and provide static or sentry duties and roving patrols as directed by the Guard Force Manager.
Supervise and provide security support during VIP visits and special celebratory events. The support may be conducted at living quarters and other venue areas as directed by the Guard Force Manager.
Supervise and conduct Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs) as directed by the Guard Force Manager.
Supervise and participate in training exercises in accordance with the Mission Essential Tasks (METL) lesson plans, SOPs, Post Orders, at the direction of the Guard Force Manager.
Security personnel can be recalled at any time and required assemble at locations determined by the Guard Force Manager in response to an immediate threat or emergency situations.
Qualifications &Certifications:
Must provide evidence of previous of experience in military, civilian police, or other Government Law Enforcement agency.
Skills Abilities And Experience
Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing. Must be able to communicate effectively with VIPs, clients, customers and other Sallyport personnel possibly during emergency situations.
Must be able to produce clear and concise written and/or verbal reports and briefings to Security Management.
Must have previous training and experience utilizing issued firearms in a professional capacity.
Must be able to become thoroughly familiar with Sallyport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Special Security Instructions (SSI).
Must have good people skills in order work effectively with other security staff and our Clients and Customers.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in military, ideally in Combat Arms, Government Law Enforcement agency or a Private Security Company. It is preferable that the candidate would have separated from these entities within the last three (3) years.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in military, Law Enforcement, or a Private Security Company.
Previous security experience with Private Security Companies within Iraq or Afghanistan is preferred.
Previous security operation experience with Sallyport security is preferred.
Knowledge of Security techniques and understanding of procedures, including, physical barriers, static guards, vehicle /personnel search methods at entry check points, defensive operations, and use of (quick reaction) assets is essential.
Strong awareness of military doctrine, operational and security concepts.
Able to perform duties for up to 12 hours, often in austere conditions to include extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain, or snow, while wearing necessary PPE (body armor for example).
Willing to be flexible regarding hours and respond quickly to time sensitive or urgent requirements.
Ability to work in harsh climatic conditions and under austere living conditions with the potential for an element of danger.
