Senior Soldier Skills Trainer
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Soldier Skills Trainer will be the Team Lead’s senior peace operations soldier skills instructor. The Senior Soldier Skills Trainer will lead efforts to train, mentor, and advise battalion and brigade sized units deploying to peacekeeping missions in support of task order requirements.
Qualifications:
· Experience as an instructor in soldier skills training unit developing individual and collective skills intended to develop technical and tactical proficiency.
· Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa.
· DLAB French language rating of 3:3 or equivalent
· Minimum of eleven years of U.S. or NATO military experience in a combat arms specialty [combat arms is defined as infantry, armor, cavalry, engineer, field artillery, infantry, or special operations forces].
· Attainment of military grade of E-8 and higher.
· Experience deployed to an overseas contingency operation since September 11, 2001.
· Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) capacity building experience in the last 4 years.
· Experience as a senior trainer, military or civilian, to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in capacity building and unit level assessments.
