Mission
Ensure that the safety policies and procedures of Médicos del Mundo are implemented in the countries where the organisation develops its intervention, to guarantee the safety of the equipment and access to the affected populations.

Hierarchical dependence of the Head of Logistics and Security and functional dependence of the Technical Safety Referent.
Functions
Minimum Requirements
Required Training
Academic: Professional training, preferably from a technical branch of Security.
Studies or accreditations in the field of Security.
Requirements
Languages: Spanish, English and French, minimum level B2
Availability for planned deployments of 2 to 3 weeks duration. Up to 40% availability of field visits.
Experience
Minimum experience of three years as a field security manager in Emergency and Humanitarian Action projects.
Experience working as a security in complex socio-political and security contexts, including conflicts and natural disasters.
Competency Profile

Functions
Support the updating of Security standards in the countries where MdM develops projects together with the security focal points of each context.On-site and remote training to the security focal points of each context in the security framework of Médicos del Mundo, of the policies, roles and communication channels, procedures and tools that make it up.
Support in the realisation of risk/threat assessments and formulate appropriate mitigation measures for each context.
Conduct support visits, trainings, and workshops in the countries to develop and improve the implementation of all mission security tools such as security plans, risk analysis …
Support the performance of Security assessments: Check the existence of security protocols and ensure appropriate monitoring and communication mechanisms.
Research, forecast and learn from identified threats in countries and assist in the development of response strategies
Support missions in mapping actors and sources of information.
Train and support countries in the collection and elaboration of maps with relevant security information.
Collaborate in the development and implementation of humanitarian access strategies: training courses and workshops with international missions (in coherence with the tools and methodologies of the Organisation).
In coordination with the security focal points of each country, assess the security competencies of their teams and determine training needs.
Updating of the databases for monitoring the status and planning of the security plans of each country.
