The Security and Risk Manager is responsible for internal security within the organization and reports directly to the Managing Director. Leading a well-resourced team he is required to deliver proactive management of security across all service lines including monitoring and coordination of process and reactive investigation of incidents where they may occur. Risk management within the Cash in Transit division is a key responsibility and requires the
intelligent application of stringent G4S standards. Advice and mentoring across all service lines
(Secure Solutions, Cash, Courier) will form a key part of maintaining a positive security culture
within the organization, working with operational staff to ensure that risk is minimized and
security maximized. Internal audit is a further function of the role that enables monitoring of
compliance to standards and process in all parts of the business. The Security and Risk
Manager will be expected to maintain an information network access the organization for
verification purposes. He/she will also act as the single point of contact between the company
and law enforcement agencies, operating on the authority of the Managing Director.

Responsibilities
Promoting a positive culture of risk management across the business.
 Management and oversight of security function within the following departments in order to reduce risk and minimize loss:
○ Cash in Transit
○ Courier
○ Secure Solutions (manned security & alarm response)

Monitoring and coordination of Cash in Transit security strictly in line with G4S standards.
Dynamic assessment of the security risks facing the business.
 Reactive investigation of significant security incidents.
Direct management of access credentials where required across the business.
Management of information and intelligence.
Audit of operations to ensure compliance to standard process and to enforce corporate governance.
Liaison with law enforcement agencies to enable leverage of support when required.

Ideal candidate:
Knowledge and Qualifications
A University degree from a recognized Institution in a risk management related discipline or similar vocational qualification.
 Post graduate qualification in Security/Risk management.

Experience
At least 10 years’ experience managing risk and security at a senior management level.
Demonstrable knowledge of risk management, physical security and asset protection measures, crime prevention, public safety, investigations and general security management.
Ability to interact and network with law enforcement, Government officers and corporate security officers and managers.
Sound knowledge of the Kenyan law and legal procedures.
