Overview

**This position is physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP**

Perform duties and responsibilities related to providing Security Services in support of current US Military operations in the CJTF-OIR AOR (Area of Operations).

The Linguist performs routine duties in an office environment, conducting interviews, and screening potential applicants, processing security and access permissions for US military installations. Functions include interview, screening and badging of Other Country Nationals (OCN), Host Country and Local National (LN) workers, guests and others requiring installation access. Provide linguistic operational support during reception, interviews, meetings and conferences. Interpret and translate written and spoken communications. Transcribe and analyze verbal and written communications. Analyze foreign documents for authenticity and provide input to reports.


This is a customer service position that requires a courteous attitude and high degree of professionalism, dealing with a variety of nationalities and cultures. Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with service provided to an international customer base.


Responsibilities



This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.Able to follow requirements in accordance with local Command Screening Cell Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Provide linguist support to the badging and screening office
Be present during interviews and serve as translator
Verify foreign documents for authenticity
Translate both written and spoken word
Actively participates in meetings and discussions pertaining to the activities encompassed in the administrative and management functions of the Screening Cell.
Interview and screen potential applicants and visitors
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsEducation/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor's degree in business Administration or closely related field is preferred.
Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
All applicants must be able to speak Arabic and be fluent in the dialectic of Kurdish; ability to translate Farsi and Kurmanji is a plus


Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:

To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements.



As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.
 
Experience

A minimum of five (5) years' in a DOD environment (Civilian or Military)
Candidate must also be able to work under pressure in a high tempo environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Skills
Must have higher or Senior level organizational skills.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
Ability to work with very diverse workforce.
Excellent English communicator both in writing and verbally.
Expertise in how SOP'S, Plans, Work Instructions, processes are executed is a must.
Proven skills in Analytical/Problem Solving.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail is required.
