Description:
The Security Badge Supervisor serves as a part of team that is assigned to the Chief of Mission (COM) Badge Issuance Office. The COM Badge Office is a high volume and challenging environment where the Security Supervisor serves as the intermediary and spokesperson for the office and continuously addresses concerns related to COM access procedures.

Essential Functions:
The Security Badge Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the Security Administrator and Security Badge Technicians
The Security Badge Supervisor keeps the Regional Security Officer (ARSO) apprised of issues or concerns that may arise
The Security Badge Supervisor reviews and verifies security clearances, vetting certificates for LES/TCNS and Letters of Authorization (LOA)
Review the process of all applicable supporting documentation for issuance of COM ID badgers, COM placards and vehicle identification devices
Review the issuance of temporary COM ID badge requests for visitors and VIPs
Work varying schedules as required by special projects and work in an “on call” capacity as dictated by mission requirements
Performs other duties assigned

Assigned location is US Embassy, Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC), Baghdad, Iraq.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Schedule will vary as required by special projects and work in an “on call” capacity as dictated by mission requirements.

Travel
Travel requirement as needed throughout Iraq

Experience:
2-5 years supervisory experience
Must have strong leadership, management and team building skills
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of office management
Excellent organizational skills and multi-task in a high volume, fast-pace work environment
Good facility with standard software, including the complete Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and an ability to learn and work with other software, as well as database applications
The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments with tight deadlines that often require coordination with other offices
The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to provide information and assistance, prepare correspondence and reports, explain policies and procedures, participate in meetings, and solve problems

Education
Bachelor’s degree desired

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Experience supporting US Department of State badge office in OCONUS or CONUS
Experience supporting Embassy/Consulate or US Department of State badge office elsewhere overseas a definite plus

Security Clearance
Must possess a current/active Secret security clearance
