Title: Compound Security Manager ADHOC Mobile Security Missions

This position is based in Chelsea Village, Mogadishu, Somalia operating a Eight & Four rotation. Suitable leave cover is provided by HNW during all periods of leave out of Mogadishu.

The Guard Force is to be controlled by the Compound Security Manager (Sec Mgr), who will report to the Country Operations Manager on all matters’ security directly.

COMPOUND SEC MGR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Manage the control access to the compound and egress from it via the Main Gate and Rear Gate and manage access control ingress/egress figures; these are to be submitted daily for the previous 24- hour period and record traffic.
Manage the visitors pass system and lead a QRF in the event of any type of incident.
Continually train and evaluate the Emergency Response Plan for the compound and provide recommendations for improvements as the treat dictates.
Provide the C3 hub for all matters security within the compounds and be an integral part of the management team.
Specifically, the Sec Mgr is to be the direct point of contact for the clients for all security matters; he must be adept at client management and appreciate the nature of the hospitality business and attend client meetings as required. Conduct guest and visitor security and safety briefs, ensuring that each person understands what the main threats are and what they must do in the event of an emergency.
Keep  Nationwide’s (HNW) Country Operations Manager and the clients informed of any matter of significance and provide reports when required.
Conduct inspections of the facility to check on: the integrity of the perimeter; the state of guards; parking and car passes; any areas or facilities of particular concern.
Brief the ongoing shift and debrief the outgoing one – checking standards of dress and equipment.
Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual training requirements and any remedial action that may be necessary.
Check the CCTV, Alarm Systems, and security lighting on a weekly basis. This will include a weekly alarm test at a time agreed with client.
Ensure that weapons and ammunition are cleaned and accounted for daily and that each weapon is signed for by guards at the start of their rotation.
Complete appraisals on guard force staff.
Evaluate performance against the KPIs agreed with client and report monthly to HNW Country Manager.
Ensure that the Guard Force’s radio and mobile communications are tested at regular intervals during each day.
The Sec Mgr will manage and continually review the pass system for personnel and vehicles entering and leaving the compound.
Management is to be achieved through a combination of effective leadership, tight procedures, and effective communications; the Sec Mgr is the central focus for doing so.
Sec Mgr must manage and ensure HNW guard force are always following health & safety rules.
Sec Mgr will use different means of communication when performing his duties. There is sufficient redundancy in the means of communication to ensure that voice and digital communication can be assured at all times.


Performance Evaluation, the following is required of the Sec Mgr while carrying out his duties:
Checks –daily (shift change, areas).
Inspections –weekly.
Audits – twice annually.
Corrective Action – as required.

ADHOC CPO ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

Working under the direction of the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the oversight management, direction, and control of the task. You will ensure that the team members are adequately briefed, skilled, equipped and supervised to conduct their duties.

Ensuring all team equipment, weapons and vehicles are maintained to a high standard, and ensuring all Q/A is carried out within the team. You will ensure all team members understand the relevant SOPS as documented by organization , and ensure the team is always administered and operationally capable for deployment.

Specific task requirements will be given in detail in SOPs, however, primary duties are as follows but not exclusive to:
Ensuring the smooth and effective operational running of the PSD.
Maintain operational oversight and control of all checks and planning requirements pertaining to quality and auditing.
Maintain responsibility for the delivery of all monthly training requirements and the subsequent upkeep of training records for the team. Liaise with Operations Manager for guidance on policy and delivery requirements.
Ensure all team equipment, weapons and vehicles are clean, serviceable, and complete always.
Always remain client focussed and professional.
Keep team fully briefed on all matters operational and logistical while also being aware of team welfare and personal matters.
Remain fully aware and conversant in all procedures inclusive of Client company Procedures, contractual and company requirements and ensure dissemination to the team.
Produce clear written Reports when required.
Ensure the professional team liaison with client POC and Operation rooms.
Ensure team remain compliancy with all paperwork requirements pertaining to badges, MOI, and company requirements – Documentation will be maintained in an orderly and legible fashion for quick and easy inspection.
Carry out complete and comprehensive hand-over of team during in/out leave rotations.
Instigate any formal disciplinary proceedings in line with SOPs and submit to line manager for further action.


REPORTS:
You are to produce the following reports:
Daily Flap Sheet and client brief before operations deployment.
Team and weapons records updated on an ongoing basis.
Hand over check sheets during handovers.
Weekly Equipment check sheets.
Monthly Training Records.
Monthly Fuel Records.
Recce reports on an as and when basis.
Incident reports on an as and when basis.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
At least 5 years Military experience
Close Protection Qualification
FPOSi qualification
Driver’s licence and clean record of driving.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Proven experience of Compound Security Management.
At least 1 year PSC experience in Iraq or Afghanistan. Somalia preferable.
Experience of writing Site Security Plans and Crisis Management planning.
Proven defensive driving in hostile areas.

COMPETENCY
Remain aware of business development and project the company.
Navigation, map reading and the use of GPS.
Well-developed English oral and written skills.

Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office applications.
