Description:
In support of a US Navy contract, Forge is seeking qualified part-time, unarmed Security Guards to implement procedures for safety and security.
Candidate will:
Watch building grounds and property to defend against damage, theft, or harm caused by intruders. Duties are performed unarmed.
Be responsible for the security and safety of one facility and of the people within that area or facility.
Inspect identification of persons prior to entering restricted areas. Be able to interact and communicate with outside personnel as needed.
Ensure adherence to all company and base safety rules and SOPs in area of responsibility.
Rectify unsafe actions or conditions immediately.
Have sufficient knowledge of on-base security procedures, building operations, evacuation procedures, severe weather procedures, law enforcement interaction, and report writing.
Maintain a daily log of all activity during assigned shift, at assigned post.
Document all incidents that take place during assigned shift in a detailed incident report.
Perform walking patrols throughout the duration of the shift.
Arrive on time, in proper attire to the assigned post.
Have an ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and to be able to respond in an appropriate manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent
A current DoD SECRET Security Clearance required.
Military, Security, or Law Enforcement Background preferred.
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Able to climb a flight of stairs in one motion and lift up to 50 pounds.
Already resides in Japan; NAF Atsugi local area preferred.
Job: Part-time. Shifts will occur in 4 hr increments, 24 hours a day x 7 days a week.
Bonuses available for graveyard or weekend shifts.
Location: NAF Atsugi, Japan. This position will be located on-base at NAF Atsugi. Moving / relocation costs are not authorized.
Salary Range: $18-$22 per hour
