Role Requirements

Only UK or Australian Nationals invited to apply for this role.
Previous military or law enforcement experience of not less than five (5) years with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment at least two (2) years' experience operating in high risk environments inan operations room capacity
relevant qualifications and experience in monitoring communications equipment
sound problem solving skills and excellent communication skills.

Desirable skills also include:
previous experience working in a diplomatic environment
previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and a working knowledge of Arabic (Iraqi dialect)
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of security services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of Australian Embassy, Baghdad. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:

The Watch Keeper (WK) is responsible for 24/7 monitoring all project communication networks including:

1. handheld and base station radio communications
2. monitoring vehicle tracking system
3. responding to all incoming telephone calls
4. coordinating Australian Embassy booking tasking’s and
5. coordinating with the communications cell on technical tasking.
6. Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GardaWorld Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines
