Job Description

The primary function of the PSS/FI is to provide protective security operations. The secondary function of the PSS/FI is to supervise weapons re-qualification training in overseas locations.
Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or acting as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations.
Maintains assigned protective formation position during principal’s walking movements.
Participates in advance security preparations.
Mans the security post at the principal’s residence or mans the command post, or other static post as required.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts weapons re-qualification training.
Ensures that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training.
Other administrative tasks as necessary to support firearms range operations.
A bio approved SL is authorized to permanently fill the position / labor category of the Protective Security Specialist (PSS) in case of shortages with the approval of the CO or COR.
Must be a US citizen.
US Passport and US State Driver's License required
Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of applicable experience.
A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must include experience in protective security assignments (Must meet PSS requirements).
Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course
Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a full-time equivalent (FTE) firearms instructor on other US federal, state, or local government training assignments.


Upon bio approval, and before beginning work on the contract, the PSS/FI shall:
Attend and successfully complete the PSS training course
Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun, re-qualifying as required by the task order.
Attend and successfully complete the DS Basic Field Firearms Officer Course.
The PSS/FI must be able to obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance as identified in the task order.
Complete the WPS Physical Readiness Test at the 65% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order.
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific.

We expect this position will be included in the recent federal Executive Order (EO) and subsequent guidance, requiring federal contractors and employers with more than 100 employees to implement a vaccine mandate; therefore, it is expected that anyone hired into this position will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencement of employment in accordance with the EO and any subsequent guidance, unless an accommodation is legally required.
