Responsibilities:
Scoring targets for contractually mandated qualifications of employees, and recording the data to be maintained in a records management system.
Managing storage of ammunition, targets, and range equipment in an orderly manner each range day.
Teaching the foundations of shooting, as well as implementing new techniques for improving shooter performance.
Assess training needs and provide specialized instruction for individual personnel related to firearm use.
Implement oral and written directions with limited supervision
Communicate effectively orally and in writing in a multi-cultural environment
Qualifications:
Detailed knowledge of all contract required weapons, including the M4, Glock, M249, M240, M203, and 870 shotgun with the ability to perform basic trouble shooting and repair.
Basic mathematics
Basic storage procedures for weapons and ammunition.
What you can expect:
The driving of a Task Order vehicle on and off compound.
Physical demands include walking, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, grasping, lifting and carrying boxes of ammunition and other items weighing 50 pounds or more.
Long hours exposed to the environment including, heat, rain, sun, and dust in a range environment with the use of eye, and ear protection. Also exposed to firearms and other weapons, related chemicals, gun cleaning solvents, ammunition and explosive materials, ammunition smoke and hand and power tools.
When in an office, sitting for periods of time and using a computer keyboard and screen.
Effectively and safely operate and maintain the shooting Range(s)
We expect this position will be included in the recent federal Executive Order (EO) and subsequent guidance, requiring federal contractors and employers with more than 100 employees to implement a vaccine mandate; therefore, it is expected that anyone hired into this position will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencement of employment in accordance with the EO and any subsequent guidance, unless an accommodation is legally required.
