Location: Mogadishu, Somalia
CPO & HSE Officer is located in Mogadishu, Somalia and reports to the Deputy Security Manager. He is responsible for overseeing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures of the company.
Key Responsibilities: CPO & HSE Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following.
As CPO
Risk assessment and planning to minimize threats
Establishing and maintaining secure environments
Maintaining security of facility and vehicle
Conduct security surveys
Using physical intervention as necessary
Responding to medical emergencies
As HSE Officer
Participates in the development of Health and Safety internal policies, procedures and working practices.
Conducts risk assessments and develop strategies for facilitating employee health and safety risks
Outlines safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
Conducts regular site inspections to ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Prepares and maintains inspection records and produces reports that suggest improvements.
Maintains incident records and produces statistics for management as required.
Investigates and reports on all personal injury accidents and damage to property and document an incident report.
Maintains a working knowledge of Health and Safety best practices and industry policy changes.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or any related discipline
At least 3 years experience in post conflict zones.
