Main responsibilities and tasks
. Conduct and update security assessments of field areas, as directed
Report to the Security and Safety Officer, on a daily basis, the changing security situation and context through a detailed collection of news and verification of its sources
Follow up the work of the guards and organize their work schedule and work proses
Coordination with stakeholders regarding the work of the association's employees
Informing the Security and Safety Officer of security incidents in his area in Syria
Maintaining high levels of follow-up and supervision of the safety of the association's offices and properties
Collect and edit weekly reports on a permanent basis on local information related to the organization's areas of operations
Evaluating the work areas of the organization's teams and providing the project officer with periodic updates regarding their work areas
Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are understood and observed by all employees
Coordinate with all relevant project officials, ensuring all staff (including drivers and guards) are regularly briefed on personal security issues and that security procedures are understood and respected at all times
Respond to any other duty requested by the Security and Safety Officer
Mandatory Qualifications required
* University degree in social sciences, or any similar degree
Good knowledge of the political and security situation in Syria and the region
Excellent communication skills.
Awareness and understanding of the humanitarian values and principles that govern the work of humanitarian organizations
Two years of experience in the field of security and safety working within non-governmental organizations or any similar department
High management skills
Fluent in Arabic and English.
Experience in preparing reports and proposals.
