This position is in direct support of the Department of States Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) Contract encompassing scores of RW and FW aircraft operating overseas in direct support of US Diplomatic and engagement efforts in various nations. Working from the Operations Center within the Program Management Office-this position serves as the lead operations planner and primary functional manager for the global Medical and Force Protection, Physical and Operational Security, and Personnel Recovery program and associated personnel. Responsible for the management and coordination of all Force Protection operations, actions, and activities on the WASS Program involving multiple OCONUS Sites and several Operating Locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary functional manager for global Medical and Force Protection, Physical and Operational Security, and Personnel Recovery program and personnel. Act as the COR for Force Protection and Intelligence subcontractors.
Provide functional oversight and supervisory responsibility for program wide Force Protection, Armament personnel, and Intelligence personnel.
Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all Force Protection and Security operations on the program. Coordinate FP and Intel functions into a comprehensive picture for executive leadership
Standardize and manage policies and procedures regarding Force Protection operations, actions, and activities.
Collaborate, and directly interface, with DOS INL-A, US military, host nation, USEMB leadership and Country Teams on all facets of Force Protection operations to include daily and emergent operations and planning; provide subject matter expertise to same. Focus on support and coordination with the RSO in High Threat operating areas.
Provide in-depth analysis of, tactical to strategic, geopolitical, military, and transnational organized crime events that could affect the security of program personnel; offer courses of action to counter.
Prepare and present briefings, talking points, white papers, etc. on any aspect of Force/Medical Protection, Physical/Operational Security, and Personnel Recovery for AAR WASS and USG decision makers.
Orchestrate and direct time-sensitive reach back support for problems/circumstances impacting OCONUS site current operations, personnel, safety, and security.
Maintain full situational awareness of current and planned future operations. Support as needed and coordinate the resolution of issues impacting current and future operations.
Conduct contingency planning and develop concepts of operations for multi-faceted matters that affect program operations and contract performance.
Temporary deployments to austere locations in Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala or as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIRED
M.A./M.S. degree from an accredited college or university and/or combination of education and related experience.

PREFERRED
18 (B,C,D, E & F) or 11B, 31B, Navy 0311, AFSC 3P0X1- Air Force Security Forces Series preferred.
High Risk Driving Course Certification
Project Management Professional Certification.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 15 years experience in leadership/management and/or operations support positions.
Experience as a staff officer at a major headquarters with senior level planning skills.
Experience in the Military Decision Making Process.
OCONUS management of force protection projects providing real world security for both static and mobile operations.
Ability to apply relevant and contemporary real world experience bringing industry best practices to the program.
Demonstrated writing, speaking and presentation ability at the senior officer level.
Demonstrated ability to articulate to senior audiences in both oral and written form (formally and informally).

PREFERRED
Counter terrorist and/or counter transnational organized crime experience.
Recent deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and/or Central/South America either in uniform or as a contractor.
Combat and/or contingency operations experience as a planner and or operator.Qualifications
