We are seeking a highly motivated team player to join Facebook as a regional Trust & Safety Manager based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with law enforcement authorities and other government agencies relating to the family of apps (including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus), with a payment services focus, and related industry coalitions in Brazil and other countries throughout Latin America. The position will also manage tactical responses to events related to the law enforcement community.
Trust & Safety / Law Enforcement Outreach Manager Responsibilities
Lead engagement and education for federal and state law enforcement agencies for Facebook and our family of applications regarding payment services
Develop a strategic program for managing effective working relationships with law enforcement and security officials, government authorities, and financial industry coalitions
Support Facebook and our family of applications in engaging with law enforcement during emergency and crisis situations
Assist in the development and execution of policies relating to the processing of legal requests from law enforcement authorities in Brazil and other Latin American countries
Work closely with the Legal, Public Policy, and other internal teams in our engagement with law enforcement authorities on diverse online safety and payment services topics, including prevention of financial crimes, money laundering, and marketplace fraud, among others
Work with investigation teams to develop and refer relevant matters to law enforcement authorities
Educate law enforcement and security authorities on our policies for protecting user privacy and responding to legal requests
Provide real-time updates on events to internal management
Work with sensitive content on a regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of additional work experience in the safety/security field in lieu of a degree
5+ years experience as an analyst or investigator with a safety, law enforcement or security focus, including experience related to online investigations, money-remittance, fraud-detection, and money laundering
Experience assessing, analyzing, and resolving issues across multiple topics while meeting deadlines
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up culture
Willingness to work off-hours and overtime, including the weekend and occasional holidays, in order to support emergency matters and interact with globally based company employees
Public speaking and presentation skills and experience before small and large audiences
Ability to frequently travel within Brazil and other countries in Latin America as needed, with occasional travel outside the region, particularly to the United States
Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:
Law enforcement or other government investigator or prosecutorial background
Business administration, law or relevant private sector experience
Program management experience
Success in managing and leading small, geographically separated teams
Knowledge of social media, telecommunications and financial institution ecosystems
Experience working with data-protection authorities, financial institutions, and Internet industry associations
Advanced knowledge of the Brazilian government structures and legal system.
