SRS Security are recruiting Close Protection Operatives
As a Close Protection Operatives (CPO) at SRS, you will be responsible for risk management, security planning, and implementation of all security-related activities within your assigned
project. Daily, this could mean assessing and minimising risks, planning routes, checking vehicles, venues, and grounds, keeping watch and being alert to danger, and dealing with conflict.
You will be working in a team environment where you are expected to display excellent interpersonal skills where personal integrity is all-important. You will place the very highest importance on safety – for your clients, for your colleagues and yourself. Providing exceptional customer service is also crucial to success, and you know how to interact with people from various backgrounds and always hold high ethical standards.
Roles and responsibilities for a CPO include but are not limited to.
Act as Mission Leader
Perform close protection duties
Conduct mission risk assessments
Prepare and plan logistics and missions
Manage ex-pat and local team members
Oversee maintenance of team equipment
Liaise with external parties as required
Support management with admin, planning and other related issues
CPO requirements
Given the nature of operations and the high-risk environments where they are performed, we demand a lot from potential new staff members. Below are a sample of the requirements.
Swedish national
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, of which three (3) years shall have been with the armed forces or police service
Previous experience of operations in high-risk areas in a relevant function
Accredited Close Protection training (SIA or relevant training via Security Services)
Accredited medical training (minimum FPOS)
Clean criminal background check
No previous human rights violation or substance abuse
Valid psychology screening and suitability test to carry weapons on duty
Fluency in written and spoken English
Further, operations are frequently performed in remote areas with limited support available; the operative’s ability to independently problem solve, maximise the output of available assets, and think outside the box when required is crucial.
