About The Jobs
Reporting to the Operations Director, the objective of this role is to manage daily security activity providing a basis and the grounding for a sound Security Methodology for the Doha Metro and Tram, providing policies, procedures and security assessments as a basis for the contractor to build their own assessments on, manage incidents and incident reporting processes, analyse security data and results to produce weekly reports for the Service Delivery Director and manage the security control room & security teams (in-house/outsourced).
Key responsibilities:
Monitor allocation and management of security resources in liaison with Sub-contractor' managers.
Participate in the recruitment of and manage the development of the Security Controllers.
Manage the security budget.
Ensure the competency and skills of the Security Controllers for global coverage of the overall Network.
Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive and resilient Security Plan, including communication plan and security sites.
Define and maintain security awareness and training programs for security personnel and RKH-Qitarat employees as required.
Ensure the specialist security training is developed and designed for the mass transit environment and that security personnel and operational staff receive appropriate security related training.
Ensure the deployment of efficient procedures, resources and means to manage security of the network (CCTV and intrusion detection, centralized access control, dedicated security staff equipped with communication system, frontline staff equipped with communication system).
Develop and maintain database for recording staffs and visitors grant accesses (control access to work area via pass).
Implement security measures and procedures to meet the security requirements of Metro/Tram.
Assist Incident Investigators in gathering information and evidence whenever necessary.
Perform shift and emergency duties when required.
Report incidents and events that could affect the safety of the system.
Undertake the assessment of security incidents.
Supervise and motivate security staff with an aim to meet the committed performance target of security operations.
Carrying out any other mission or work assigned by the Operations Director.
REQUIREMENT
15 years' experience in a large security functions role with a proven track record in managing security sub-contractors from a public transport environment
Senior Police or Military background is desirable.
Strong sense of safety and security plus analytical skills.
Able to operate a complex system with safety and security related functions.
Able to remain calm and objective particularly during challenging incident related situations.
Able to anticipate and react to situations.
Capable of giving precise, clear and concise instructions remotely.
Rigor in executing and applying instructions and procedures.
Results-oriented with a proactive attitude.
Able to anticipate, analyse, identify, and resolve problems cost effectively.
Has proven leadership and people management skills.
Strong cooperative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to persuade and influence.
Strong communicational (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Good in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills, Arabic is a plus.
