Position Summary:

This  position is located in Kuwait. All personnel MUST have a valid tourist passport to be considered. 

Manages all training-related functions that support the completion of the K-SSS Project in Kuwait. Directs and supervises Instructors executing the K-SSS Initial Training Course for newly hired personnel following their arrival in Kuwait and all In Service Training required by the contract and as directed by the client. Serves as a senior member of the K-SSS Project Management Office staff; participates in staff meetings provides updates and advises the Project Manager on all training-related matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
Plans and implements the K-SSS Training Program to ensure all personnel, training records, and instruction are in compliance with the K-SSS contract and available for audit upon request
Plans and schedules all training to meet contract requirements
Supervises instructors
Maintains individual training records using company information systems and Microsoft Excel; maintains hard copy records in accordance with company records retention policies and contract requirements
Plans and executes weapons training and qualification
Assists with the submission of Arming Authorization Letter in accordance with policy and procedure; forecasts expiration dates and submits renewal packages
Ensures all training requirements such new hire training, weapons qualifications and In Service Training are accomplished to standard, documented and filed in accordance with company and project procedures
Develops and manage the training team staff to provide all required training programs, lesson plans, tests, after action reports, training schedules, and evaluations of proficiency at trained tasks
Responsible for maintaining written training records for each person trained and for all subjects taught
Performs all additional duties as required


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must be a US citizen
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years experience as an instructor in a security field
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years combined experience in the military, law enforcement or in the employ of commercial security company of similar size and scope.
A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been in a supervisory or in-charge capacity
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of hiring
Must have a valid US Passport
Must have a current US driver’s license
Must be able to pass a physical fitness agility test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening; position is also subject to random drug screening throughout the course of employment
If prior US Military, must have an honorable discharge verified by DD214
Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and possess the criteria to be awarded and maintain the necessary US-issued security clearance
Must be able to pass a medical physical approving candidate for overseas work
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order
Qualify with the M4 rifle and pistol and maintain weapons qualification as required by the contract
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
Strong initiative
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed both in an office environment subject to frequent interruptions and outdoors as necessary to supervise training.
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday
