Aegis offers a competitive daily rate (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty)

Duty Rotation
8 weeks on, 4 weeks off, subject to operational requirements
Travel Pay
Contractors are not entitled to pay while travelling. The first day of pay is the day of arrival in the country of operations. The last day of pay is the day of departure from the country of operations.
Visa Requirements
The Company shall be responsible and liable for the multi-entry visa cost as required in order to deliver the Services. Any visa costs incurred by the Contractor shall be reimbursed.
Package
GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support while on duty.
Food, Accommodation and General Expenses:
Company will provide the Contractor with food, drink, transportation and accommodation as necessary whilst the Contractor is engaged in a project.
If Company is unable to provide the Contractor with food, accommodation and transportation, except as set forth below for inbound and outbound travel to the project location, Company shall either provide a per diem at an agreed rate or reimburse to the Contractor for any travelling, hotel and other expenses reasonably incurred by him in the proper performance of his duties under this Agreement. In the case of the latter, the Contractor must provide Company with such vouchers and receipts or other evidence of actual payment of such expenses as Company may reasonably require. The Contractor shall seek the prior approval by Company for any individual expenses incurred under this Agreement.
Flight Package
GardaWorld will provide an economy class return ticket per rotation to the project location from a hub airport as close as reasonably practicable to the Contractor’s declared home address.
The Contractor will be asked to declare their preferences for a primary, secondary and tertiary hub airport from the GardaWorld hub list at the commencement of their engagement. Where possible and commercially acceptable, GardaWorld will look to book travel to and from one of the preferred hubs.
The Contractor will be responsible for any travel arrangements between the hub airport and their home address. The Company will pay for any transfers from the airport near the project location or such other intermediate landing location to the Consultant’s accommodations at the project.

Role Requirements
Only FVEY National Candidates (AUS, NZ, USA, UK, CAN, US) will be considered for this role
Must have at least two (2) years' experience operating in high risk environments
To hold one of the following qualifications (in-date): HLTAID005 Provide First Aid In Remote Situations, Qualsafe’s FREC 3, MIRA or PHTLS-TFR.
Previous military or law enforcement experience with an excellent record of conduct.Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from their employment
Possess sound knowledge and skill sets required to plan and conduct base security operations, including managing a static guard force in a high threat environment
Possess excellent communication skills, with experience in multiple levels of communication between various levels of Security Management, internal and external
Previous experience in a similar capacity would be an advantage.
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of Static Security Operations to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of Australian Embassy, Kabul. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:
Maintaining professional working relationships with DFAT clients.
Mentoring local guard and OCN personnel and oversee their day-to-day responsibilities. Leading by example and having a genuine desire to interact positively and constructively with local personnel.
Developing the guards into a strong and cohesive team. Establishing a strong working relationship with the guards through mutual trust and respect.
Conducting monthly training in accordance with the program
Escorting clients by foot and vehicle to and from the office to their accommodation.
Securing all clients and contracted staff in the event of an attack, coordinating the security and defense of all Australian Embassy sites during incidents.
Monitoring and logging Clients on and off site.
Monitoring CCTV screens.
Managing the search teams at residences and check points
Weekly reporting on all LN and OCN staff
Reporting on incidents involving LN and OCN staff at Embassy facilities
Conducting a weekly security review of the compounds
Reporting to the Static Security Manager and Static Security Officer
Maintaining a level of fitness necessary to conduct work in accordance with the SOPs.
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
