On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA), the Risk Management Office (RMO) ensures the greatest possible minimization of security risks in Afghanistan for employees of GIZ, KfW and other German-financed organizations . To this end, the RMO records and analyzes the security situation, advises employees and decision-makers in German development cooperation and provides risk-reducing services on site. The RMO comprises employees at seven locations in Afghanistan as well as in Dubai and Eschborn. Part of the work of the RMO is also an Electronic Mass Notification System (EMNS) so that all German development cooperation employees working in Afghanistan can be reached quickly in an emergency.

Your tasks
Participation in the operation and further development of the EMNS; including user support, quality assurance, data maintenance and training for operators
Assistance with reporting to donors, especially with the cost-output analysis
Support in analyzing the political and security situation in Afghanistan
Support in the preparation and follow-up of meetings
your profile
You have a high affinity for IT, including basic knowledge of programming or software for data analysis as well as excellent knowledge of database management
Mastery of basic MS Office products, including excellent Excel skills, is a prerequisite
You understand the fundamental security risks in fragile contexts like Afghanistan
You have basic knowledge of the political situation in Afghanistan and the country's recent history
You work independently with minimal instructions and good time management
They are always friendly and professional in their communication, as well as able to fit into an intercultural team
Business fluent English is required.
