Pay range: $70,000-$95,000 depending on experience

Position Summary
The company is seeking an experienced security professional to assist in the development of security procedures and supervise site security personnel at Mine site.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement procedures and layered systems to monitor the mine premises and prevent intrusion or loss.
Monitor the performance and effectiveness of security officers tasked with site access control.
Verify that visitor training, site hazard training and MSHA documentation is correct, before granting access to the property.
Review, verify and investigate reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Ensure security officers maintain an accurate log of all personnel accessing and departing the mine site.
Develop procedures and contingency plans for theft and emergency situations.
Act as the central point of dispatch for all personnel traveling the mine access road.
Monitor and verify all material, equipment and personnel arriving and departing the Mine site.
Perform random vehicle searches and inspections.
Perform post-accident, random and reasonable suspicion drug testing.
Perform contractor vehicle and equipment inspections.
Advise the Company Safety Manager of opportunities for program improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Summary of Qualifications
Proven working experience as a security supervisor or relevant experience.
Military experience preferred.
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Surveillance skills and detail orientation
Integrity and professionalism
Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Must have excellent skill with the Microsoft suite of programs.
