The Ideal Candidate:
Ideally French/English speaking
a. Minimum of 8 years’ military/police experience in a NATO member country and/or
UKUSA Agreement Alliance signatory;
b. Minimum rank of NATO equivalent OR 8 and honorable discharge;
c. Minimum of 36 months’ experience in an area of active conflict, including at least 24
months’ experience in Kabul, Afghanistan;
d. Minimum of 24 months’ experience as a Project Manager.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
a. Report to the Project Authority (or delegates);
b. Primary point of contact for Country Manager;
c. Provide immediate information and alerts to Project Authority (or delegates), Deputy
Project Authority (or delegates), and Military Police Security Service (MPSS) on security
incidents, threats or traffic interruptions;
d. Suggest improvements to physical defenses and embassy security procedures, and
support the implementation of new initiatives;
e. Monitor and supervise all guard forces and CP elements;
f. Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), monitor and report on compliance by all
personnel and present to Project Authority (or delegates) for approval;
g. Assure an acceptable level of training and ensure detailed performance records are
maintained for each of the Contractor’s personnel;
h. Ensure that a high level of professionalism is maintained for all Contractor staff, and
initiate appropriate corrective measures, including disciplinary action and termination
of employment, if required;
i. Conduct monthly training on weapons handling, first aid, searches, contractor ROE’s,
cultural awareness, and protocols to all Contractor’s personnel;
j. Provide security assessments for locations as requested by the Project Authority (or
delegates);
k. Assist in the preparation and coordination of Embassy training programs, i.e. CP Drills,
vehicle entry/exit protocol, demonstrations, basic weapon handling, first aid, etc. as
agreed and determined by the Project Authority (or delegates);
l. Provided the Project Authority (or delegates) immediate and timely intelligence,
advisories, analysis, and other time sensitive security related information affecting the
safety of Embassy personnel and assets immediately upon receipt;
m. Liaise with local security, other PSCs at embassies and NGO security. Assist the Project
Authority (or delegates) with networking as required;
n. Ensure quality assurance measure are put in place for the EDC teams and that these
measures are strictly followed, independently evaluated, and reported to the Project
Authority (or delegates);
o. Manage HR and leave rotation;
p. Armed and is expected to contribute to the defense of the embassy during an emergency; and
q. Administer pay for all personnel;
