Job Description 
Summary
The purpose of this job is to lead GE Renewable Energy Security Risk & Crisis Management (SRCM) operations within India and serve as a key advisor to the business, in meeting company–wide security and crisis management objectives. This means protection of the Company and its reputation, its people and its assets from all security related hazards within the designated sub-region in accordance with the GE Beliefs, Security Policies and its Operational Standards in a fluid security environment. Furthermore, this individual is a part of GE Renewable Energy’s SRCM Director’s operational and tactical team and should also be responsible for management and implementation of GE Security Risk & Crisis Management strategies, which consist of five major pillars of SCM and they are as follows:

1. Risk & Threat Management
2. Travel Security Management
3. Physical Security Operations
4. Crisis Management & Business Continuity
5. Compliance with Policies, Standards and Regulations.

In relation to the above and in accordance with ever changing security environment, the individual is also required to identify and escalate developing / emerging gaps and raise immediate solutions to ensure effective Risk Mitigation Measures are in place for the business.


Job Description
Key role and responsibilities:

A GE Renewable Energy Country Security Manager is expected to conduct (but not limited to) the following tasks as part of their normal duty enhancing the GE SRCM function:


Risk & Threat Management
Work with relevant SRSD to determining country risk rating, TAS Status and Risk Mitigation Measures and ensure GE SRCM platforms reflect these.
Establish and maintain liaison relationships with local security apparatus, local security networks including embassies, corporate security organizations and intelligence agencies in defined Area of Responsibility.
Work with GE Regional Operations Centers (ROC) to monitor the environment and provide firsthand information on incidents and escalating threats.
Assess security risk for Area of Responsibility which may include site threat assessments, hotel security reviews, security vendors, safe havens, logistics, Journey Management support and security awareness training.


Travel Security & Journey Management
Follow events that may cause issues for GE travelers in the designated Area of Responsibility and work with the GE Regional Security Operations Center to communicate with travelers accordingly. Such events may include civil unrest, industrial action, severe weather, travel system major accidents and terrorist incidents.
Review and support employee travel requests for any High Risk (TAS Security) areas or countries in Area of Responsibility.
Assist with the arrangement of security escorts where required.
Be prepared to provide Executive Protection for GE officers and security guidance for Special Events in your Area of Responsibility.
Support GME housing security reviews & orientation training.


Physical Security Operations
Ensure vetting, monitoring, contracting & management of security service & systems vendors providing Security Guards, Security Systems and Close Protection services within your Area of Responsibility.
Conduct Site Risk Assessments for GE sites (new, existing and client sites) in your Area of Responsibility.
Ensure that infrastructure designs include Access Controls Systems, CCTV cameras, Physical Guard Forces and Security Procedures according to GE SRCM Standards.
Conduct Security & Crisis Management Training for Site Leadership teams, Site Security Leaders and GE employees as set by the GE Renewable Energy SRCM Director.
Security support and governance to IFM provider.


Crisis Management & Business Continuity
Assist Renewable Energy sites with determining site risk level (Mission Critical/Risk Conditional/Routine Operational).
Support GE Renewable Energy sites and leadership with Incident Management Plans, Crisis Management Plans and Business Continuity Planning.
Work with the relevant Senior Regional Security Director to ensure GE Renewable Energy is included and participates in Regional Crisis Management planning, drills and live events.
Maintain and test Emergency Notification Systems for business CM teams & employees in Area of Responsibility.
Ensure that an Incident response strategy is implemented and tested in regular intervals.
Ensure that any TAS Security areas/countries have Evacuation triggers identified and Business Continuity plans are in place for Renewable Energy projects and sites, which may include employee relocation/evacuation.

Requirements:


Extensive experience in managing and conducting security operations including physical security, investigations, personal protection and crisis management.
Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results.
Ability to use Power Point, Excel and related computer software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the Organization.
Oral and written communication in English is essential.
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly.
Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities.
Effectively problem-solve and resolve a variety of issues and topics.
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones.
Must be prepared to travel globally COVID travel restrictions permitting.


Qualification:


Experience in law enforcement, security or intelligence for governmental agencies or major multi-national corporations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent. Concentration in management, criminal justice, law enforcement technology or similar field or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in managing and conducting international security operations including physical security, investigations, personal protection and crisis management.


Desired Characteristics:


Owns relationship with local and regional law enforcement, security providers, and Federal Agencies.
Understanding of Security best practices.
Understanding of Criminal laws and related legislation in Area of Responsibility.
