Mission
The IOC is looking for a Paralympian to:
Support the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in engaging with Organising Committees (OCOGs) in developing the Olympic Games Security program in line with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) strategic objectives
Support the development of Olympic Games Security related initiatives and projects
Main responsibilities
Olympic Games Security:
Support the CSO with the coordination between the IOC and all OCOGs in setting up regular Security Reviews, Executive Security Calls, and other forms of scheduled or ad-hoc exchanges.
Together with the Olympic Games Security Expert and the OCOGs’ Security Functional Areas (FAs), develop the formal agenda in preparation of the meetings.
Support the CSO with the coordination and communication between IOC Olympic Games Security stakeholder: OCOGs, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs), Worldwide Olympic Partners (TOPs), Rights-holding Broadcasters (RHCBs), as well as internal IOC departments.
Review the monthly risk monitoring reports. Develop and track significant development in an IOC Olympic Games Security Risk Dashboard and Risk Assessment platform.
Ensure the collection and administration of all Olympic Games security related information (presentations, documents, excel sheets, etc.) per Games edition.
Prepare presentations and briefing materials on specific topics, as instructed by the CSO.
Compile and progressively update comparative statistics and processes related to the Security FAs.
Support the CSO in responding to the various demands from the Games Delivery Office.
Other responsibilities:
Help with administration and logistics at various levels.
Assist with projects as identified by the manager.
Education, language and IT competences
Background in security (police, military, emergency responder, or private security).
Bachelor or equivalent qualification in a related subject area.
Fluent in English or French; knowledge of the other language an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Knowledge of the sports world (Olympic Games, International Federations).
