The manager will be responsible, for the implementation of all security issues in regards to the protection of all corporate assets (people, assets, operations and reputation) within the given area of responsibility.
Please note that the role requires 5/2 weekly commuting. The role is hosted in Dubai and from Sunday till Thursday the location is Basra. There is a need to meet an extremely demanding travel and work schedule. Note: due to current COVID travel restrictions, the role is working on a rotational pattern of between 4 – 6 weeks in country with a to be agreed set period of time off for rest and recuperation.
In this role You will:
Be an integral member of the Rumaila Operating Organisation’s (ROO) senior leadership team.
Run of all aspects of security within the ROO.
Leading, mentoring and supporting the diverse security team to ensure alignment with the business objectives.
Represent, brief and guide the General Manager and Divisional Leadership Team on security matters. In addition, be prepared to advise on wider non security related matters in support of enabling the business to operate.
Maintain and implement security policies, plans and procedures.
Hold accountability for the employment of risk management tools across the team, also maintain an up to date risk register.
Design and implement the team's annual operating plan with key objectives and achievements
Draft and deliver the multi $m budget
Coordinate all contracting as it relates to security, collaborate closely with external agencies and senior partners.
Ensure that all required security plans and policies are fit for purpose, the operations continue to perform within the wider group’s risk appetite.
Ensure compliance with Government of Iraq laws, including the operation of private security companies.
We have the following requirements:
Confirmed working history within the Oil & Gas industry
Experience of working within a multinational corporation, especially in challenging or High Risk environments
Proven experience of leading large scale projects and budgetary accountability
Ability to work and influence at a senior level, up to Regional leadership and senior Governmental appointments
Exposure of working for, and management of, Private Security Companies
Arabic language knowledge would be beneficial but not crucial
The Iraqi government require all workers who will be in Iraq longer than 15 days to complete a HIV test, Hepatitis B surface antigen and Hepatitis C antibodies test. This will be tested in Iraq as well as in your pre-deployment medical assessment. The current position in Iraq is that any positive result to Hep B/C or HIV is not acceptable for a business visa, work permit or residency certificate to be issued. Please also note that due to safety and security considerations, BP rotators cannot exceed a weight of 35 BMI.
