Our Client an International Oil and Gas Operating Company are looking for a Maritime Security Coordinator to be based in Afungi, Mozambique. The role will be offered with a long term contract, 28/28 Rotation and a negotiable daily rate.
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Maritime Security Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for Implementation of maritime security projects on site
Responsibilities:
Successful execution of maritime security operation in and around the project in a safe and effective manner.
Ensure the maintenance of all maritime security assets and maintain a close working relationship with contractors in order to ensure continued operations.
Ensure the information flow is clear and accurate.
Establish and maintain a close working relationship with deployed Maritime Security Advisors.
Daily liaison with deployed military contingent to ensure adherence in accordance with Joint Task Force (JTF) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Mozambique Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Mozambique National Rules of Engagement.
Reporting on Maritime security issues on a continuous basis to management.
Requirements:
Preferably have a military or Navy Background.
Have a good working knowledge of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code
Experience in the use of small boats
Basic sea survival (BOSIET or STCW preferred)
Fluent in English as a spoken Language (Portuguese an advantage)
