ROLE :
Being part of the Group Security Management, the Regional Security Officer is responsible for monitoring inherent threats, minimizing risks and identifying protection goals and objectives consistent with the corporate strategic plan across their region.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures for security operations.
Manage the implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and compliance with regulatory and voluntarily enjoined programs.
Engage functional groups including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management, and logistics to ensure safety and security are adequately addressed.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
Conduct security audits as necessary and in compliance with the corporate security auditing policy.
Perform security risk assessments based on vulnerability criteria to determine appropriate levels of protection.
Work collaboratively with station management to resolve issues involving the station; and to improve overall security effectiveness in targeted areas.
Facilitate and promote activities to create security awareness within the region.
Coordinate investigations through operations that involve thefts or suspected thefts, significant violations of law, security related incidents involving employees, information security breaches, threats of violence to workforce, significant product count variances, risks across business groups, undercover investigations and other highly sensitive matters involving the group’s workforce and assets.
Coordinate investigations as appropriate with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Provide input on security related questions to customers and internal sales departments to ensure correct RFQ / RFI's.
Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Master’s degree in political science or equivalence, specialised in security
- Experience with a government body / embassy
- You have at least 10 years of experience in this domain
- You are rigorous and you have a high sense of confidentiality.
- Flexible approach and adaptability
- You have a native French level and are fluent in English and Arabic.
- Fluency in another language is a plus
- Fully competent with Microsoft Office Suite.
