JOB INTRODUCTION:

Responsible for the procurement, husbandry and front line delivery of all assets required for the delivery of the SS(I) business

Continually review and develop logistic systems and their portability, or
otherwise, across the wider business

Design, develop and implement strategic logistic systems designed to ensure the business is able to function effectively, pre-empting future requirements as far as possible

Develop and execute efficient Logistics, Fleet Management, Facilities
Management (FM) and IT & Communications Management Information Systems (MIS) processes and procedures in theatre in liaison with the G4S RM IT & Communications personnel

Unarmed Role however is responsible for accountability and security.



ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:

Ensuring management systems, processes and procedures are designed to provide cost effective, operationally viable delivery of Real Estate, Fleet Management, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), weapons/ammunition,
uniform and other specialist equipment (including IT) to support all trading entities

Draft and implement appropriately structured strategic and operational plans and processes to meet logistic requirements

Ensure all logistic processes and procedures are robust, auditable and compliant with G4S and PSC1 ISO: 9001 –ISO: 18788 standards, including Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)

Ensure empirical data is collated and maintained in accordance with developed scorecards to identify trend analysis with regards to Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Fleet Management and to inform future
planning and budgetary requirements

Ensure the G4S suppliers Code of Conduct, Business Ethics and Due Diligence policies, procedures and processes are followed, logged reported and reviewed appropriately for all potential and extant suppliers

Take the lead in planning and executing cost effective mobilisation programmes and long term support working in conjunction with key personnel across G4S RM, both in country and more widely, as appropriate.

As part of the Iraq Senior Management Team, assist with the preparation of bids

Act as custodian of Fixed Asset Register (FAR) with responsibility for the submittal of FAR requests and FAR Disposals in accordance with the finance policy and budgetary controls

Submit the Business Units logistical end of month returns in a timely manner; liaise with G4S Dubai, India and London as and when required regarding logistical related issues
Manage the business units firearms register, coordinate with G4S RM to ensure the RM Master register is at all times kept up to date and G4S Firearms compliance is adhered to

Coordinate and liaise with the G4S RM Armourments Engineer, ensure the programmed servicing schedule is maintained with and Corrective Action Points raised during inspection are corrected within a timely manner

Responsible for collating all business unit logistical reports and returns, ensuring 100% accountability, conformity and compliance is met, highlighting any deficiencies, anomalies and concerns

Maintain an organised and auditable logistical filing system, updating the business unit document control register with any logistical policy, SOP or documentation changes

Source reliable and cost effective suppliers for specialist and general stores requirements from international and domestic sources and assist in the establishment of supplier agreements

Develop in-country preferred supplier list, due diligence and risk assessments

Provide input to the annual budgetary process

Liaise directly with external private and public security agencies involved in assuring SSI Management Plans. Coordinate and liaise with the business unit Compliance office and Chief Operating Officer to ensure MoI & PSCD laws and regulations are being complied with, implement Corrective Action Plans to mitigate any
procedural failings found.

Manage the business units logistical staff employed across multiple regions of Iraq to ensure efficient and effective stores support and warehousing functions are in place. Maintain monitoring and measuring audits
across the business unit for assurance and full compliance with all Logistical and Finance SOP’s

Set, maintain and manage stores holdings for all classes of items to ensure continuity of support to current programs and new business

Manage all business unit environmental Corporate Social Responsibility reports and returns, reporting directly to G4S Group

Plan and oversee all construction projects, ensure UK H&S regulations are adhered to during the build with appropriate works permits and risk assessments being implemented

Plan, manage and lead on all logistic requirements for project mobilisations and demobilisations across Iraq.



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Educational Requirements / Qualifications:
Commercial qualification in logistic-specific discipline (essential)
Degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in a relevant discipline (desirable)
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
NEBOSH Oil & Gas Certificate (desirable)
Warehouse Management Qualification (desirable)
Facilities Management Certificate (BFIM) (desirable)
Risk Management Certificate level 4 minimum requirement (desirable)
IT literate (high standard) in MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint (essential).

Experience:
Over seven years’ proven and documented logistic management experience in the private sector (essential)
Minimum of 10 years’ military or government services experience (essential)
Experience of working in a hostile and low infrastructure environment, ideally within the Security &/or Oil & Gas Sector in Iraq (desirable).
