Positions are available in the Northern Virginia Areas, CONUS, CONUS-TRAVEL, OCONUS or War/Conflict Zones. Each qualifying candidate chosen will become a direct hire with Amentum and will be provided full benefits and opportunity for advancement.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have an active US Government Clearance.
Experience in one or more of the following: interpretation, transcription or translation of one or more foreign languages to English.
Must be fluent in a near-native or native source language.
Must have strong English language skills and ability to compose clear, concise English composition. Must pass English test.
Must possess strong cultural knowledge of foreign language(s). Must pass foreign languge test.
If you were previously language tested and you received a score of ILR 3 or higher you will qualify for this program.
Must demonstrate experience with internet research and using Microsoft Applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience with the USG and/or military as a linguist is helpful.
Ancillary language support skills are a plus: blogging, collection, content management, editing, language training, monitoring, quality control, scanning, selection, summarizing/gisting, triage, terminology management, workflow or writing reports.
Previous experience in any of the following areas are helpful: counter proliferation, counterterrorism, cyber, economics, geospatial, legal/law, military, narcotics, religion, science/technology or politics.
