Functional Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Support Services (HOSS) and in close cooperation with UNDSS and the Chief of Security at Headquarters, the Senior Field Security Advisor (SFSA for its acronym in English) will be responsible for the general security strategy of the Mexico Office, which includes the physical security of people and facilities.
The SFSA will be responsible for ensuring the effective and timely identification of key internal and external security threats and for implementing appropriate preventive and mitigation actions.

Education / Experience / Language requirements
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or
First level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or
If you do not have a university degree, relevant military or police experience of at least 13 years is required.
Experience:
Relevant experience is defined as security management experience at the international level or high profile at the local level.
Professional level experience is required working with the UN system, governments or international corporate firms.
Experience is required in coordinating security arrangements with the military, police, or other security forces.
Languages:
Spanish language is required at a fluent level
English is required at an appropriate level for the job (minimum to an intermediate level)
