Purpose Of Position:
The Field Security Officer will support the Security, Fleet and Administration Manager in ensuring that effective security measures for field programs are appropriately planned for and implemented within the operational context of Burundi.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
University degree in Social Sciences or equivalent degree in a related field.
Professional/academic security training
Two (2) years’ experience in a strategic role that include security management responsibility
Experience in security forces (Police or army) is an added value
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in designing and delivering training.
Ability to work effectively under pressure (particularly in a crisis situation)
Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels
Strong oral and written communications skills in English and French
Additional academic security qualifications will be an added advantage
Expertise in the analysis of security threats, risks and vulnerability
Experience in crisis management preferred;
Work Environment:
Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to field
Travel: 10% Domestic/international travel is required
On call whenever it is required (immediately)
