Job Description
Minimal Risk requires UK Government Security Checked (SC) cleared personnel or Developed Vetting (DV) personnel to undertake Security Officer duties at a British Government project in Washington DC, USA for approximately 2 years; covering regular rotations and periodic team uplifts.
Only apply if you have either SC or DV clearance. This is not NATO cleared or DBS cleared or SIA cleared. You must be able to prove you have the clearance, this will be in the form of a letter from a Government agency or if with the MOD it will be on your JPA profile. You need to have worked in a SC/DV cleared environment within the last 12 months for your clearance to be valid based on our client's requirements. Please upload a copy of your clearance letter when you apply otherwise your application will be rejected.
Definition of SC and DV checked:-
Security Check (SC): determines that a person's character and personal circumstances are such that they can be trusted to work in a position that involves long-term, frequent and uncontrolled access to SECRET assets.
Developed Vetting (DV): in addition to SC, this detailed check is appropriate when an individual has long term, frequent and uncontrolled access to 'Top Secret' information. There is also Enhanced DV.
The duties will be to ensure the Security of a building project at the British Embassy in Washington DC, this includes escorting workmen in protected areas to ensure the integrity of the building is maintained at all times and monitoring their movements around parts of the site, in person or via CCTV.
Terms and Conditions
Deployment date: October 2020 - visa dependent.
End date: estimated to last for 2 years, to be determined after initial team uplift
Shifts: (Days only) Monday to Friday, also odd Saturday/Sunday shift as and when required, timings to be discussed at interview
Rotation: Approximately 12 weeks on 4 weeks off - Covid-19 restrictions will be in place.
Remuneration: to be discussed at interview.
Travel day: half day rate, no subsistence.
Flights will be provided, Economy Class.
Accommodation will be provided close to the building project.
You will be required to undergo a full medical before deployment.
Due to the security and specialist nature of this task, we would require the right person to be able to cover this deployment from start to finish on a rotation to be confirmed after initial team uplift or to fill in for additional uplifts throughout the duration of the task.

Must have very good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must be able to work/live as part of a small team.
Behaviour whilst on this project must be exemplary throughout this task on shift and on down days.

Must be physically fit and have experience of working overseas.
