Based near Charleston, SC, Morton Security seeks outside consulting support to deliver critical decision-making information to our diverse set of clients, which range from Fortune 500 companies to Humanitarian Organizations.
Ideal candidates must have strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial background or desire, protective security management training/experience, ability to solve problems and use technology to do so, and knowledge/experience in Global Security Operations in order to provide protective security, secure transportation and security project management to high profile clients located around the world.
Detailed Description
Working as an independent contractor, the candidate will provide protective services to Morton Security clients operating locally, regionally and globally. Duties will typically include providing close protection services, assessing daily intelligence reports, planning and assessing individual and group itineraries, identifying current and emerging threats to the client and their organization, coordinating with local security vendors, conducting risk assessments, conducting business related executive services, inspecting vehicles and equipment for reliability and function.

Ability to use technology in security operations in order to ensure quality control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in multiple languages.
Easy to talk to, detail oriented, tactful and candid.
Good listener with the ability to read people and the flexibility to interact differently with clients at all levels within the organization.
Excellent business acumen, understands intelligence analysis for businesses and government agencies.
Intellectually quick, with the ability to easily grasp global security concepts.
Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency to get things done.
Preferred Experience
B.S. or M.S degree and a minimum of 8 years of global security experience.
Established consulting firm or business with professional liability insurance coverage.
Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office tools, including MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Publisher, and MS PowerPoint.
Candidates with distinguished academic achievement, a high level of personal integrity, a strong interest in Global Security, a high level of energy and a strong desire to learn are welcomed.
Required Experience
8 years experience as a protective security professional (government and/or commercial).
Legal right and authorization to work as an independent contractor.
Security related Associate's Degree or Technical Certification from an accredited school/college/university or Certification from a reputable Protective Security School/Training Facility.
