Position Overview:  

The Training Manager is responsible the planning and delivery of training, as well as overseeing the day to day training operations at the OCONUS facility.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Manage and supervise training for personal protection services, guard force, surveillance detection, and support personnel in specified TO locations.
Provide instruction as required under the bodyguard, protective operations, guard, surveillance detection, and firearms training deliveries.
Supervise weapon qualifications and training in specified TO locations.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct weapons qualifications and training.
Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training.
Organize, manage, supervise, and schedule training, including integration training. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise training coordinators (TCs), integration and training instructors (ITIs), and other specialized training instructors (TIs).
Ensure that all required equipment (e.g., weapons, ammunition, materials, etc.) are on-hand for training deliveries.
Develop and implement training plans.
Deliver instruction as required, with exception of driving and tactical medicine instruction, unless also bio approved for those labor categories.


Required Skills
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance/Public Trust determination/Overseas Vetting, as required by the TO. Personnel Security Clearance/Public Trust determinations, or Overseas Vetting may not be required as specified in the TO (i.e. TO performance may not require obtaining a Government vetting process).
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an instructor in a security field.
Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in security or training assignments.
A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been in a supervisory or in-charge capacity.
A minimum of twelve (12) months of this experience must have been in protective security on U.S. Government contracts or similar DS program operations.
The remaining five (5) years of experience may be gained in the employment of any federal, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed protective and/or guard services or training that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS and Guard training course as outlined in the OPO-Training IDIQ, Attachment 2, Training.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in fulfilling firearms instruction duties.
