Summary
The Security Badge Supervisor provides supervision over a team assigned to Department of State (DoS) Chief of Mission (COM) Countermeasure Regional Security Badge Office located at the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. serves as a part of team that is assigned to the Chief of Mission (COM) Badge Issuance Office. The COM Badge Office is a high volume and challenging environment where the Security Supervisor serves as the intermediary and spokesperson for the office and continuously addresses concerns related to COM access procedures.
Essential Functions
The Security Badge Supervisor ensures all administrative tasks associated with daily badging operations are compliant with DoS policy and procedures
Develop and implement training / refresher training regimen for new hires and staff regarding all administrative duties to include proper review, processing, and archiving of badge applications, clearance verification's, and placard requests.
Provide training for the varies badging systems, biometric equipment, and badging software applications.
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are accurately completed, reported, and archived.
Ensure monthly inventories are conducted, keeping Countermeasures informed to ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
Provided analytical feedback to Countermeasures regarding badge / placard trends.
Manage employees’ work and R&R schedules.
Report issues in a timely manner to the ARSO for quick resolve.
Provide guidance to employees for company matters such as travel expense reports and time-sheet practices.
Ensure badge office operations are in strict compliance with the Mission Access Policy and RSO security policy and procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Schedule will vary as required by special projects and work in an “on call” capacity as dictated by mission requirements.

Experience
2-5 years supervisory experience
Minimum of 2 years office management and data entry experience
Must have strong leadership, management and team building skills
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of office management
Excellent organizational skills and multi-task in a high volume, fast-pace work environment
Good facility with standard software, including the complete Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and an ability to learn and work with other software, as well as database applications
The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments with tight deadlines that often require coordination with other offices
The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to provide information and assistance, prepare correspondence and reports, explain policies and procedures, participate in meetings, and solve problems
Education
Must have a high school diploma
Bachelor’s degree desired
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Experience supporting US Department of State badge office in OCONUS or CONUS
Experience supporting Embassy/Consulate or US Department of State badge office elsewhere overseas a definite plus
Security Clearance
Must possess a current/active Secret security clearance
