Responsibilities as a Security Driver include driving company executives throughout the DC metropolitan area. Extensive knowledge of the DC metropolitan area is mandatory. The candidate must be able to solve problems in a discreet manner and have the highest ethical standards at all times. Security Drivers are required to work extended hours, approximately 10-12 hours per day. Security Driver must be in excellent physical shape and have the ability to carry heavy objects such as suitcases, boxes and other packages in addition to standing for long periods of time, walking long distances and climbing and descending stairs. Emergency medical response may be required and participation in AED/CPR and first aid is required. The Security Driver must obtain a Maryland Special Police Commission and concealed weapons permit and stay proficient with their firearm. The applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The applicant must also use discretion/exercise confidentiality in the event that they are exposed to classified information. This position will work at the Bethesda facility.
Basic Qualifications:
•Excellent verbal and communication skills.,
•Local preferred - extensive knowledge of DC, metro area, Excellent driving record.
•Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and 5 or more years of experience.
Desired Skills:
•3 years experience in, executive protection, First Aid, AED/CPR certified., Possess Maryland & VA Special, Police Commission and Maryland & VA concealed weapons permit.
