POSITION SUMMARY: 
Serves as the TADSS Contact Team Trainer for the Training Support Center (TSC) Tactical Exercise Support (TES) section located on Camp Buehring, Kuwait. 

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:  
Provides assistance, troubleshooting and on-the-spot maintenance to guarantee quality training is available to US military personnel and contractor personnel with the least amount of lost time due to defective equipment or shortcomings.  
Provides US military personnel with training on the following systems, Laser Marksmanship System (LMTS), Improvised Explosive Device Effects Simulation (IEDES), Forward Looking Infrared Radar, Laser Convoy Ambush Training System (LCATTS), Advanced In Bore Marksmanship Training Enhancement System (AIMES) and Common Through Sight Video (CTSV).     
Have a common working knowledge of the following systems Javelin (FTT) and Basic Skills Trainer (BST). 
Working knowledge of Miles Series, Mobile Integrated Target System Individual Target System (ITS), Individual Weapon System (IWS), M1A1 Tank and the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. 
Performs 10/20 level maintenance on equipment. 
Inspects, inventories, and maintains accountability for all weapons systems equipment. 
Performs operator level maintenance on equipment. 
Performs other related duties as required. 
 

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:   

Computer, TS-MATS 

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:  

Indoor and/or outdoor environment.  
Standard work week will be six (6) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day. May work 12-hour shifts as required. 
May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.  
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.   
Must have professional appearance consistent with US military customs. 


 
Qualifications
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  
Education/Certifications:  

High School Graduate, five (5) years related experience. 


Required Qualifications: 

Must meet USCENTCOM physical / medical requirements. 
Must deploy to USCENTCOM training locations with austere living conditions. 


Experience:  

Four (4) years’ experience working with Tactical Engagement Simulations systems, inspection and issue of property, accountability and maintenance/troubleshooting. 
Working knowledge of MILES operations and troubleshooting procedures. 
Operational knowledge of the Training Support Materiel Armywide Tracking System (TS-MATS) 
Must be able to produce presentations on TADSS equipment and consumable materials.  
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents.  
Skills:  

Previous Contact Team experience. 
Instructor experience highly preferred. 
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload. 
Able to brief clients on services provided by the Training Support Center.   
Military experience desired preferably Combat Arms.


Clearance/License: 

Must have a Valid NACI. 
Must have a valid US Driver License, able to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator License and Kuwait Driver License. 
Must possess or be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). 
Must be able to maintain USG network access. 
 

Clearance Level required at Start Date: NACI
Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
