POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as the Squad Assault Course Operator / Maintainer for a Task Force-level platoon providing support in planning and execution of training for the Training Support Team (TST).

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Assist units with planning and developing training that supports stated objectives, to include scenarios and orders; assists as required with preparation and execution.
Maintains currency in Army Operations Doctrine.
Teach, coach and mentor a Combat Arms platoon.
Provide training support to the company that includes squad battle drills, platoon battle tasks, Company Situational Training Exercises (STX) in support of Commander’s training objectives.
Assists with development of realistic Situational Training Exercise scenarios.
Responsible for the execution of a formal training and certification program.
Experience with and understanding of mission analysis and Troop-Leading Procedures (TLP) and issuance of operation orders for company tactical operations.
In depth knowledge of training strategies to support Platoon training objectives.
Proficient with platoon and company organic weapons systems.
Thorough understanding of Troop Leading Procedures.
Comprehensive understanding of training management for platoons and companies.
Maintain currency with new and shifting US Army and USMC doctrine.
Maintain working relationships with tenant and rotational units.
Assist with managing the Squad Assault Course and CIED training as well as the Program of Instruction (POI) development, design, certification, execution, and modification/update processes in order to maintain currency.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Military Vehicles, PPE, Handheld radios, laptop computers, Military radios, Training Aids, Mock explosive devices, and simulators.

WORKING
ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Field and Office environment.
Travel to other countries within the CENTCOM AOR
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Required to observe all safety and environmental policies in compliance with federal, military and local laws.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Must have professional appearance, consistent with local customs.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain license to operate military vehicles.
Must be able to lift 75lbs a vertical distance of four feet and carry 25 feet.
 
Qualifications
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Required Qualifications:
Must meet USCENTCOM physical / medical requirements.
Must deploy to USCENTCOM training locations with austere living conditions.
Experience:
Eight (8) years related work experience as it relates to the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined in the job activities.
Former Army/USMC E7 or above with Combat Arms MOS/Branch.
Thorough knowledge of current Army doctrine, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
Prior assignment to a maneuver CTC as an Observer/Controller or extensive CTC experience as BLUFOR/OPFOR.

CLEARANCE/LICENSE:
Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Must have a valid US Driver License, able to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator License and Kuwait Driver License.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must be able to maintain USG network access.

Clearance Level required at Start Date: Secret
Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time.
