Personnel and Mobile Support Senior Member , Afghanistan

Job Summary

The Personnel and Mobile Support Senior Member is responsible for mobile and static security operations under the supervision of the Personnel and Transport Security (PTS) Supervisor and ultimately the Security Operations Manager. Maintain a high level of professionalism and skill while carrying out personal protection procedures for assigned Company personnel and all other persons designated by supervisors. Will also perform duties as static security force protection.


Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for the safe operation of all assigned company vehicles and equipment.

Responsible for the protective transportation of program personnel ensuring their safety.
Gathers and disseminates security threats and reconnaissance information of projected movement routes.
Continuous tactical training and development to ensure and maintain a high level of expertise and ability.
Perform various positions within the team while on missions, including the driver, shooter, vehicle commander, and convoy commander.
Perform static security positions as assigned.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment assigned to you ensuring its functionality and report deficiencies as needed.
Assist PTS Supervisor with planning ground movements and duty schedules.
Communicate with security and program personnel utilizing ICOM radios and smartphones.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge & Skills
Good communication skills with persons at all levels. Ability to effectively communicate in English required.
Knowledge of DI personnel security policies and standard operating procedures.
Ability to conduct both static and mobile personnel security operations.
Technical and tactical proficiency with the various small arms used in support of operations.
Ability to operate motor vehicles of various weights and sizes tactically, both on and off-road.
Must be able to meet the weapons qualifications requirements of the assigned contract.
Ability to perform both static and mobile PTS/ECP operations.
Ability to prepare and present briefs detailing the PTS mission and relevant information to that mission.
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
Be proficient using and maintaining all program assigned communication systems, smartphone, ICOM radio (base and mobile), etc.
Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.


Experience & Education
Prior military and/or law enforcement experience preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a tactical, deployed environment, serving in a personnel security capacity is desired.
Candidate must possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Candidate must possess a valid Driver’s License from their host country.
Prior PSD and PST Security experience is desired.


Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Must pass all medical and fitness requirements directed by US Central Command (CENTCOM) in order to deploy.
Must be able to operate in harsh and austere conditions of Afghanistan
Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate security department, mission, and program required NATO and Coalition identification and access badges and permits, for the duration of employment.
Citizenship from a NATO or Coalition member state is preferred.


Travel
Must be capable of daily travel in and around Kabul as well as to locations throughout Afghanistan.
