POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as the Ground Combat Weapons Trainer, Lead for the Training Support Center (TSC) Tactical Exercise Support (TES) section located on Camp Buehring, Kuwait.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Responsible for providing classroom instruction and training courses on the operation, installation, alignment and maintenance of Tactical Exercise Support (TES) equipment used to simulate weapons firing and Training Aids & Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) to US military and contractor personnel.
Provides US military personnel with training on the following systems to include but not limited to, Laser Marksmanship System (LMTS), Improvised Explosive Device Effects Simulation (IEDES), Laser Convoy Ambush Training System (LCATTS), Advanced In Bore Marksmanship Training Enhancement System (AIMES) Common Through Sight Video (CMTSV) Javelin (FTT) and Basic Skills Trainer (BST).
Knowledgeable on the Training Support Materiel Armywide Tracking System (TS-MATS) and other several of maintenance management systems.
Provides demonstrations and presentation of TADSS to senior US military Officers, ARCENT staff and contractor personnel
Must be able to use a desktop or laptop computer.
Must be able to use presentation materials effectively.
Working knowledge of Miles 2000, Individual Target System (ITS), Individual Weapon System (IWS), M1A1 Tank and the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle
Inspects, inventories, and maintains accountability for all systems equipment.
Performs operator level maintenance on equipment.
Performs other related duties as required.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Computer, TS-MATS
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Indoor and/or outdoor environment.
Standard work week will be six (6) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day. May work 12-hour shifts as required.
May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must have professional appearance consistent with US military customs.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications:
Associates Degree and 8-10 years related experience including 4 years of supervisory experience or equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Must meet USCENTCOM physical / medical requirements.
Must deploy to USCENTCOM training locations with austere living conditions.
Experience:
Prior US Military Experience
Five (5) years’ experience directly dealing with MILES/TES and US Army training support operations, required.
Must be experienced in supervising MILES/TES instruction, inspection, issue, accountability, maintenance, troubleshooting and Contact Team operations.
Past experience in using or training the following systems to include but not limited to, Laser Marksmanship System (LMTS), Improvised Explosive Device Effects Simulation (IEDES), Laser Convoy Ambush Training System (LCATTS), Advanced In Bore Marksmanship Training Enhancement System (AIMES) Common Through Sight Video (CMTSV) Javelin (FTT) and Basic Skills Trainer (BST).

Must be knowledgeable of logistics procedures.
Must be knowledgeable of Multiple Integrated Laser Engagements Systems (MILES I, MILES II, MILES 2000) and Tactical Engagement Simulations (TES) equipment.
Must be knowledgeable of US Army ground combat weapons simulations systems, (TWGSS, PGS, LMTS, VIGS, etc.).
Knowledgeable of range support operations.
Must be knowledgeable of military maintenance procedures.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets reports and documents.
Able to brief clients on services provided by the Training Support Center.
Clearance/License:
Must have a Valid NACI.
Must have a valid US Driver License, able to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator License and Kuwait Driver License.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must be able to maintain USG network access.
Clearance Level required at Start Date: NACI
