Duty Rotation: 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, subject to operational requirements
Required Skills
Proven experience in a similar role is a necessity (minimum 2 years)
Previous Afghanistan or similar hostile experience
Proven experience in dealing with Afghan National Security Forces.
In date frontline SIA licence (or equivalent from country of origin); and
In date FPOS-I qualification; and
To have attended and passed an accredited CP course.
English literacy – Oral and Written
Experience in APPF oversight and training.
IT literate
Previous Military experience.
Close Protection qualification (SIA Licence)
Medical Qualifications
Experience in dealing with APPF contracts
Weapons familiarization with the M4,, AK47, Smith and Wesson and Berretta.
Duties of Role
Job responsibilities include:
Conducting reconnaissance visits and risk assessments for new locations and determine whether they are safe to visit
Making decisions on project moves
Recommending security upgrades to Chemonics Security Director
Maintaining close liaison with Chemonics Programme Management team (Programme Manager, Programme Director and Head of Risk Management and Compliance)
Liaising with Chemonics Management Team on all matters relating to changes in security posture, lock downs and evacuations (domestic and international).
Conduct arrival briefs and induction training for new staff, both international and local national
Create and maintain project SOPs in conjunction with GardaWorld SOIs
Train and mentor project security staff, client and APPF
Provide weekly reports on the projects LOE and performance to the Regional Management Team (RMT)
