Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operator are looking for x2 English and Portuguese speaking Military Liaison Coordinator to be based on site in Palma, Mozambique. The role is offered with a 28 Day on / 28 day off rotation, long term contract and 12 month renewable contract.
Job Overview
As Military Liaison Coordinator you'll be responsible for aiding the Military Liaison Supervisor in the successful implementation of the memorandum of Understanding between the Project and the host Government Security forces.
Responsibilities
Mentoring and training of local Staff in order to develop in-country skills
The management and implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Security of Petroleum Operations and will be responsible for its administration in conjunction with the Military Liaison Supervisor.
Reinforce the Military Liaison Supervisor in proactively liaising with the Joint Task Force (JTF) and exerting influence to ensure that the Project is suitably secured.
Ensure all VPSHR guidelines are properly and daily implemented: any breach is to be immediately reported.
Monitor the care and support of troops inside the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
Reporting on security situations and the threat escalations where and when necessary.
Working closely with Local military as well as private Security forces daily.
Acting as translator between Project management and the Joint Task Force (JTF)
Experience
Ideally have experience gained working within Military Liaison in remote locations
Preferably have a military or Police background (Senior NCO)
Have experience working with Military and Police personnel
Fluent in English and Portuguese as a spoken Language
Have a basic high school diploma
