Head of Physical Security & Safety(Americas)

Responsibilities
- To implement and drive the Bytedance's Global Physical &Technical Security strategy across specific region.
- Oversee the proper management of a global contracted professional guard force, which provides protection for physical assets and personnel.
- Oversee a comprehensive program of innovative closed circuit television, alarms and alarm monitoring, card access, and visitor registration systems.
- Work with relevant internal teams and vendors to ensure emergency response in time.
- Ensure that risk assessments for all the offices are conducted.
- Ensure relevant security&safety intelligence monitoring is coordinated.
- Develop, document and use relevant procedures and protocols for fire and life safety drills.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant law enforcement partners.
- Provide support for executive protection as necessary. Ensure all team members and contractors tasked with driving are trained to appropriate standards.
- Take responsibility for relevant portions of the Global Business Continuity Team plan, execute and document fire and life safety matters for all offices.
- Work with relevant industry partners to learn and share relevant information to event security and executive protection for HQ.
- Ensure all sites complies with the local security regulations.
- Manage intelligence-led risk assessments of all Bytedance's facilities utilizing various intelligence models to ensure the site security footprint adequately adapts to any real or perceived threats to the business.


Qualifications
- Educational degree in Criminology, Security Management, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; While a Bachelor’s or advanced degree is preferred, relevant work experience would also be accepted.
- 5 plus years of law enforcement, security or military experience.
- Strong proven leadership, preferably managing people and processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel on short notice in support of Corp-Sec operations and initiatives.
- Possession of a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
