Armed Counterintelligence Support Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

*POSITION IS LOCATED IN BAGRAM, AFGHANISTAN

Coordinates and synchronizes a broad range of CI Operations activities to include analysis of those operations
Reviews, evaluates, and provides insightful analysis into CI Operations plans and activities in support of Services, Combatant Commands, Agencies, and other special customers
Contributes to the development, execution and evaluation of comprehensive operational plans
Conducts special collection activities using specialized equipment and techniques
Executes effective CI collections and field operations to counter threats to sensitive US technologies, programs, activities and facilities
Plans and executes discrete physical observation
Conducts counter-surveillance and detection operations
Provides unique, cutting-edge biometric collection capability
May represent the CI Operational capabilities at Joint, Intelligence Community and Inter-Agency meetings as required
Independently develops initiatives to enhance the analysis and analytical support provided to CI Operational capabilities
Prepares and deliver briefings to senior leadership regarding CI Operational plans and activities
Provides client with a greater understanding of CI Operations policies and methodologies
May liaise with the IA and the intelligence and law enforcement community
Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Secret Clearance required
Six (6) years of experience with former MOS 35L, 351L, 97B, 35E, or civilian 1810/1811/0132 or as 18F= SF INTEL NCO or 180A SF WO with ASOT-III, other service equivalent specialty codes such USAF 7S071- Special Investigator (SI), USMC 0211 Counterintelligence/HUMINT (CI/HUMINT) specialist or other DoD joint service equivalent specialty codes
High school diploma required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Special skills and qualifications:
Three (3) years operational experience coordinating operations
Knowledge of Army/Joint CI procedures, doctrine and practices
Knowledge of Army/Joint Counterintelligence regulations and legal limits
Deployment experience
Experience in working with and through interpreters
Experience with interview and solicitation techniques
Experience with CI principles and methods
Experience in developing screening/interviewing/debriefing plans
Experience in conducting screenings/interviewing/debriefing
Briefing skills
Experience with the evaluation of information requiring further investigation
Experience supporting CI operations OR acting in the capacity of/performing the mission of a CI agent
Experience writing military reports


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Government CI credentialing course such as CI Special Agent course (CISAC (or other accredited DOD credentialing course
Associate's Degree
Knowledge of Dari or Pashto language and Afghanistan culture
Familiar with CI Systems and databases such as PCASS, CELLEX, BI2R, TCOP, HOT-R
DSDC qualified
Tactical deployment with CI experience
