Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced logistics expert to serve as the Logistics Manager in support of our AFRICAP Counter Boko Haram Task Order (TO) across multiple Sub-Saharn nations in Africa. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Works under the direction of the project manager ensuring that all required logistics functions under this task order are performed satisfactorily. Logistic functions include ordering, shipping, coordination with host nation and US country team logisticians, inspection and acceptance testing, delivery, accountability and reporting.
Identifies possible problem areas, priorities and deadlines and advises the Project Manager on potential solutions.
Assures timely delivery of equipment and supplies to meet project time lines.
Tracks and reports to the Project Manager on the status of all project logistics functions.
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON GOVERNMENT AWARD
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
At least two (2) years of directly related logistics project management experience relevant to task order requirements and program objectives.
Directly related experience operating and living in areas with limited life cycle support in hardship conditions.
Desired Qualifications
Fluency in reading and speaking French Language as demonstrated by either test scores, years of speaking language in countries of origin, identification of native speaking history, or some other credible means.
