The Crisis and Emergency Management position is part of the HSE discipline. The incumbent will develop and support the implementation of the corporate countrywide plans, procedures and protocols for systems and processes in response to an emergency. This role ensures the corporation and the assets have appropriate capability to respond to all emergencies and spills across the project portfolio.
The Lead Emergency Management and Spill Response position is part of the Operational HSE discipline.
The incumbent will develop and support the implementation of the corporate countrywide plans, procedures and protocols for systems and processes in response to an emergency.
This role ensures the corporation and the assets have appropriate Level 1 and 2 capability to respond to all emergencies and spills across the Project and specifically Coordinate the Country Emergency Management Cell (EMC) based in Maputo.
Effective IMS implementation across relevant project locations, supporting development of teams, systems and plans (such as spill response) in preparedness for activity associated with Major Accident Hazard events (i.e. Marine, Upstream and Onshore production operations)
Key interface with internal and external stakeholders to achieve alignment in implementing CEM protocols
Work with onshore LNG Operations department and supporting functions (security, logistics, marine etc) to develop response capability in readiness for operating LNG facility
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have demonstrated experience with working effectively with external regulators and other agencies.
Must have operational and/or HSE exposure and experience, and some basic business understanding.
Must have formal training such AIIMS (level 3), Emergency management Training at ICS 300 or IMO level 3.
Experience in all areas of management, with good technical skills and the ability to integrate the technical, commercial and governance aspects of the work.
Experience managing, mentoring and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
Proven ability to positively develop and influence Project safety culture.
Proven safety leadership within high hazard industries such as petrochemical, oil and gas, mining, and aviation industries.
A demonstrable experience of emergency management and spill response management in complex scenarios, gained by relevant operational experience
HSE experience within the oil and gas industry operational environment an advantage
