Location: Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan
Summary:
The Cargo Handler must have prior practical experience in the provision of aviation cargo handling services, to include the loading / unloading and preparation of cargo / baggage for military and civilian charter aircraft.
The CH must have recent practical experience in the safe operation of all Aircraft Cargo Handling Equipment and be in possession of a valid forklift operator’s license ( up to 12 tons)
The CH will either hold or be able to obtain a KAF airfield driver’s license and will provide shift cover in support of the NATO Resolute Support Mission.
Qualifications
Essential:
Must be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience in the aviation cargo handling operations.
Must hold a valid and internationally recognized national driving license. ( must include a forklift license up to 12 tons)
Possess fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
Must be familiar with radio and telephone procedure in order to communicate with the KAF Air Operations Centre and Air Traffic Control.
· Familiar with NATO, ICAO and IATA terminology and standards and also to be familiar with ramp (apron) safety procedures.
